1/48 X-15 A-2 WORLD SPEED RECORD FLIGHT CONFIGURATION

Conversion set for Special Hobby's 1/48 X-15 A-2 kit (#SH48 008) is including 6 resin parts (white areas on image). Decals for this configuration of X-15 body are included in orginal kit, for tanks use of our NWD005 decal set is recommended (these decals are not included in Special Hobby's kit).

World absolute speed record (mach 6.7 - 4,520 mph - 7232 km/h) was set by X-15 on 10/3/1967. Aircraft was flown with full ablative coating, external tanks, dummy ramjet mounted on ventral and mechanical eyelid over windscreen.
