1/144 R-36-0 FOBS (SS-9)

History:
The R-36 missile was developed by Yangel's construction bureau in the mid-1960's. This missile was selected over the Korolev GR-1 and Chelomei UR-200 for the heavy ICBM role. The R-36-0 was used for tests of the FOBS (Fractional Orbital Bombing System). R-36-0 was launched first time on September 17th, 1966 (FOBS 1) and last time August 8th, 1971(FOBS 18). This missile evolved into the Tsyklon space launcher.
